Welcome to Akshadhaa Assisted Living

The World Health organisation estimates that 1 in 100 children has autism. This statistic is only likely to grow more dire as time progresses.

We studied a number of global models in our quest to arrive at an optimal solution to ensure a productive and dignified life for the neurodiverse, even after their immediate family is no longer around. Each model had its share of pluses and minuses. There was no quick fix.

We had to create our own model – the Akshadhaa Assisted Living Community. We had a significant advantage in that each of the founding partners has been personally associated with Akshadhaa Foundation, which, over the course of the last decade has undertaken sterling work towards caring, educating and providing employment to the neurodiverse.

So, we envisioned a community where the neurodiverse, their parents, healthcare providers, special educators, students, and corporates, among others, could come together, while being productive in their individual capacities.

To that end, we have planned a campus where special needs individuals and parents stay independently but are in regular contact.

Bharat Kaul, Parent

Raising children with special needs can be challenging, but Akshadhaa Academy provides essential support to parents, teachers, caregivers, and students. By equipping them with the tools to understand and address neurodevelopmental delays, we aim to be a lighthouse of excellence in neurodiversity education. Akshadhaa Academy is dedicated to encouraging personal growth and professional satisfaction as part of a larger mission to advance inclusive education.

Sumaiya Naaz, Resource Professional

Congratulations to Akshadhaa Foundation on 10 years of outstanding service to the disability community. Their work, from early intervention to vocational training and now assisted living, is fantastic. My discussions with Anirban and the team have been truly inspiring, and their plans will set a new standard for assisted living and care in India.
