1. Have you thought of how will you keep your neurodiverse adult child engaged and actively occupied through the day, years from now?

3. Are you aware of any assisted living residential facility, which can accommodate a special needs child and their aging parents in the same community?

5. What is the staff to SNI ratio to have adequate supervision and rehabilitation care?

7. Does the facility have an individualized care plan?

9. Does the community communicate and involve the family meaningfully?
- Scheduled reviews regarding their child’s progress.
- Involvement of the family in care planning and the decision-making process.
- Parent leadership in critical areas – safety, security, canteen etc.
11. What is the medical care plan for SNIs and senior parents? Will there be:
- Onsite 24×7 availability of medical staff
- Individualised medical care
- Does the organization have expertise to sensitize the staff and the community on good practices on health and wellness.
13. Is there a good emergency and crisis plan in place? Is there a network of trusted individuals who can provide support during emergencies?
